Common questions
What is UniLift?
UniLift is a campus ride app for Malaysian universities. Verified students and staff request short rides from approved student and staff drivers on their own campus, agreeing the fare directly in the app and paying in cash.
Who can use UniLift?
Students and staff of a listed Malaysian university. You sign in with Google or Apple, choose your campus and submit a photo of the front of your student or staff card. Our team reviews it manually.
How does pricing work?
The app suggests a basic fare from distance and time. You can keep it or adjust it within a fair range. Drivers either accept your price or counter with their own, and you choose which offer to accept. The price you accept is the price you pay.
How do I pay?
In cash, directly to your driver at the end of the trip. There are no cards or online payments in UniLift.
Does UniLift take a commission?
No. UniLift charges 0% commission. Drivers keep the whole agreed fare.
How are drivers verified?
Drivers submit their student or staff card and their car details (plate, make, model, colour). Our team approves each application manually before the driver can go online.
Is UniLift available at my university?
We're rolling out campus by campus. Check the Campuses page to see where rides are live. You can register early and get verified before your campus launches.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Account and choose Delete my account. Your personal data and uploaded photos are deleted. See the Delete account page for details and an alternative if you can't access the app.
Is my data safe?
We collect only what's needed to run campus rides: your name, phone number, one ID card photo (deleted after review), and your location while you ride or drive. Read the Privacy Policy for the full details.
